Abstract This notice is made under the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998. The notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by the Oeo Pā Trustees. The area/rohe moana is in Taranaki, from the Oeo Stream to the Taungatara Stream, and extending seawards approximately 5 kilometres. Notice is given of: the cancellation of the appointment of a Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana; and the appointment of a replacement. The Minister of Fisheries cancelled the appointment and made the replacement appointment at the request of the Oeo Pā Trustees. The powers of Tāngata Kaitiaki/Tiaki are set out in the regulations.
