Abstract This notice is made under the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998. This notice applies to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana in the New Zealand fisheries waters (except South Island fisheries waters). It relates to the customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by the Potaka Marae Committee and Te Whānau a Kauaetangohia Hapū. The area/rohe moana is at Potikirua Point on the East Cape. Notice is given of the appointment of 6 Tāngata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana. The Minister of Fisheries made the appointments at the request of Te Whānau a Kauaetangohia Hapū. The powers of Tāngata Kaitiaki/Tiaki are set out in the regulations.
