Abstract This notice is made under the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998. This notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by Oraeroa Marae. The area/rohe moana is an area from Okarahia, at the mouth of the Waikato River, to Ngatutura Point. Notice is given of the cancellation of the appointment of 2 Tāngata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana and the appointment of 1 replacement. The Minister for Primary Industries cancelled the appointments and made the replacement appointment at the request of Oraeroa Marae. The powers of Tāngata Kaitiaki/Tiaki are set out in the regulations.
