Abstract This notice, consisting of 6 sections, is made under the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998. The notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by Kahungunu ki Te Matau a Māui. The area/rohe moana is an area from the Port of Napier to Cape Kidnappers. Notice is given of the cancellation of the appointment of a Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana and the appointment of a replacement. The Minister for Primary Industries cancelled the appointment and made the replacement appointment at the request of the Waiohiki Marae acting for Ngati Parau Hapū. The powers of Tāngata Kaitiaki/Tiaki are set out in the regulations.
