Abstract

The present Law lays down provisions relating to fisheries in Salzburg. The purposes of the Law are the conservation, creation and restoration of native fish species, the conservation, improvement and restoration of their conditions of existence and their living space; the protection of threatened native aquatic animals, and last not least the sustainable exploitation of fishing water. The text consists of 56 articles divided into 8 chapters as follows: General provisions (1); Cultivation of aquatic animals (2); Fishing, fishing test, fishing permit (3) ; Protection of aquatic animals and their living space (4); Protection of fisheries (5); Fishing associations in the “Land” of Salzburg (6); Authorities, fishing charges (7); Final provisions (8).
