Abstract This plan provides for the use, conservation and enhancement of the community’s fisheries resources by managing the east coast trawl fishery in a way to apply and balance the principles of ecologically sustainable development and promote ecologically sustainable development. The east coast trawl fishery is fishing for trade or commerce by the use of trawl nets in the tidal waters east of longitude 142º31.89' east (the east coast trawl fishery waters).
