Abstract This Notice, consisting of 6 sections, is made under the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999. The Notice declares Lyttelton Harbour/Whakaraupō Mātaitai Reserve, which is in the inner part of Lyttelton Harbour/Whakaraupō. The tangata whenua of the area that includes the mātaitai reserve are represented by Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke (Rāpaki) Rūnanga. A mātaitai reserve is a traditional fishing ground for which Tāngata Tiaki/Kaitiaki are appointed under the regulations.
