Abstract

Section 10 now prescribes that a Fisheries Protection Officer may use measures of enforcement as specified in that section with respect to "any fishing boat within the fishing waters or with respect to any fishing boat that he believes is fishing or has been fishing in within the fishing waters". Boats may be required now to be taken to any place within the British Indian Ocean Territory as the Fisheries Protection Officer may appoint (comma [i] of subsection 10[1]).
