Abstract

These Regulations amend the Fisheries Regulations by replacing regulation 15(1), which prohibits the damaging, harvesting from the wild, retaining or in having in possession of, or buying for sale or exporting any clam meat or clam products of the genus Tridacna and Hippopus and prescribes a penalty for such offence. A person may apply to the Director for a Dead Clamshell Export Permit for the export of dead clam shells.
