These Regulations prescribe anew offences in respect of having in possession any beche-de-mer harvested for sale or processes or exports in a prohibited manner and stipulate that the Solomon Islands National Sea Cucumber Fishery Management and Development Plan (annexed as Schedule 1) shall take effect from commencement of these Regulations. The Plan is provides for management and development plan for effective conservation and optimum utilization of sea cucumber fishery, which is declared to be a designated fishery by the Minister.
