Abstract

For the purposes of regulation and control of the Reserve established by Order of 1996, there shall be established four zones within the Reserves: (a) the General Use Zone; (b) the Conservation I Zone; (c) the Conservation II Zone; and (d) the Preservation Zone. The General Use Zone shall be open only for fishermen who currently use this Zone. These fishermen shall apply for a licence. Use of certain gear is not permitted in the Zone (reg. 4). There shall be only "non extractive recreational activities" in the Conservation I Zone. In Conservation II Zone specified recreational fishing, subject to restrictions set out in regulation 6. In the Preservation Zone use of motorised boats and any fishing whatsoever is prohibited (reg. 8). Part III concerns the application for and issue of commercial fishing licences. Licences issued under these Regulations shall not be transferable. (26 regulations divided into 4 Parts and completed by a Schedule which contains Forms)
