Abstract

These Regulations made by the Minister under section 74(1) of the Fisheries and Marine Resources Act, specify for the purpose of section 8(5)(b) or 8B(4)(a) of the Act, fees for the issue of authorisations by the Permanent Secretary. The Fishermen Investment Trust shall be exempted from payment of the authorisation fee and the Permanent Secretary may exempt a co-operative society from payment of the authorisation fee. The Permanent Secretary may, after considering the application, renew the authorisation for a period of one year.
