Abstract

This Chapter of Division 1 of the Fish and Game Code of California creates the Fish and Game Commission in the Resources Agency and delegates to the Commission the power to regulate the taking or possession of birds, mammals, fish, amphibia, and reptiles to the extent and in the manner prescribed in the Chapter. The Chapter also sets out various other powers of the Commission, relating to, among other things, fishing for tuna and salmon, regulation of inland fishing, taking of elks, and migratory birds, enforcement and the making of agreements with adjoining states.
