Abstract

This Chapter of Division 2 of the Fish and Game Code of California defines powers and duties of the Department of Fish and Game and the Fish and Game Commission and declares policy of the State of California concerning the resolution of (potential) conflicts between the management, conservation, and protection of fish and wildlife resources and their habitat and private and public activities that may affect them. The Chapter also contains general licence provisions and some rules relative to hunting and fishing to be observed by permit holders. Those provisions regard especially tagging. The Commission shall establish fish hatcheries for stocking the waters of this State with fish. The Department shall maintain and operate such hatcheries. Some other rules relative to fish breeding are given.
