It, among other things: Prohibits the use of explosives; allows the Department of Fish and Game to take harmful fish; prohibits the taking of fish for the sole purpose of removing its eggs, except for aquaculture purposes; prescribes certain conditions for the landing of fish; empowers the Fish and Game Commission to adopt Regulations to prevent deterioration and waste of fish taken for purposes other than profit, and to regulate the disposal of the offal of such fish; restricts the taking of fully protected fish (defined); prohibits the taking of white sharks, except for scientific purposes; imposes a moratorium on the taking of abalone and provides further for its protection.
