Abstract

These Regulations set out general hygiene and quality requirements and conditions that shall apply to any undertaking, whether for profit or not and whether public or private, carrying out any operation of production, manufacture, processing, storage, transport or distribution of fishery products for human consumption. Every operator of a fishery enterprise shall with respect to any vessel, premises, establishment, site or means of transport, comply with the health conditions and requirement as prescribed in the Schedules to these Regulations. Control, certification, monitoring and licensing of operators shall be the responsibility of the Health Protection Board established by section 3 of the Public Health Ordinance.
