Abstract

The 49 sections of this Act are divided into 9 parts: Administration (I); Investigation of Fires (II); Appeal from Orders (III); Reports and Records of Fires (IV); Offences and Penalties (V); Regulations (VI); Forest Fires (VII); Rural Fire Services (VIII) and General (IX). Part I to Part VI contain provisions relative to powers and duties of Fire Marshalls and to other administrative matters. Part VIII establishes duties of citizens with respect to actions may which cause fire hazards or actions to prevent forest fires. Part VIII is dedicated in particular to services related to rural fires.
