Abstract

This Act prohibits the dealing in, selling or distributing of fertilizer in any place not designated for the purpose of sale or distribution of fertilizer without the permission of the appropriate authority (as defined). The appropriate authority may declare any place to be an approved selling or distributing point for the purpose of selling or distributing fertilizer. Notwithstanding anything contained in any enactment, no person shall export fertilizer out of Nigeria. The Act defines other offences in respect of the handling of fertilizers, prescribes penalties for such offences and provides for measures of enforcement.
