In particular it (a) establishes the procedure to be followed for the registration of brand names (Part 2); (b) regulates the sale if soil improving agents and trace element products by dealers (Part 3); states the powers and duties of inspectors and analysts (Part 4). Supplementary provisions, contained in Part 5, regard, inter alia, the disclosure of information, the proceedings for offences, the issue of evidentiary certificates. The Act is completed by two Schedules: Repeals (1); Savings and transitional provisions (2). The Director-General of Agriculture shall cause a register of brand names to be kept for the purposes of this Act (sect. 5). A dealer shall not sell a soil improving agent otherwise than under a registered brand name (sect. 15). Soil improving agenst shall be marked with particulars set out in section 16. A dealer shall not sell a trace element product unless the trace element product is contained in a parcel which is marked in accordance with provisions of section 21.
