Fencing Act 1913. Country/Territory Norfolk Island (Australia) Document type Legislation Date 1913 (2011) Source FAO, FAOLEX Subject Livestock, Land & soil Keyword Range Cadastre/land registration Legal proceedings/administrative proceedings Pastoralism Grazing Geographical area Asia and the Pacific, Australia and New Zealand, Oceania, South Pacific Abstract This Act provides for the registration of fences and provides with respect to trespass on land of cattle and other animals. Fences, whether artificial or natural, may be registered with the Registrar of Lands. Where the Registrar is satisfied that the fence would no longer effectively exclude trespass on land by quiet cattle and horses, the Registrar shall cancel the registration. An action of trespass can be lodged only if land is protected by a registered fence. Full text English Website www.info.gov.nf
