In the framework of the Program, the following main results were obtained: (a) global challenges that affect the Russian agricultural sector, including economic, social, environmental and technological challenges, were identified and analyzed in detail; (b) the analysis of the current state of development of the sector, its production, innovation and scientific and technological potential; (c) scenarios for the development of domestic agribusiness for the medium and long term were developed, including goals, development objectives, macroeconomic parameters of the scenarios, priorities of scientific and technological development; (d) lists of promising areas of scientific and technological development of the sector are proposed: more than 60 traditional and promising agricultural markets with a forecast of their dynamics and more than 200 specific areas of science and technology; and (e) recommendations for improving the scientific and technical policy in the agricultural sector and the implementation of the Program are given.
