Abstract This Law is composed of 4 Sections divided into 26 articles. Terms (and definitions (art. 1). Section I decrees the establishment of the Federal Committee for the Environment and defines its objectives which are to : formulate laws, rules and regulations for environmental protection; propose a plan and the general policy for the environmental protection; study the pollution and environmental impact assessment and the compatibility between development and environment; study and research on water, marine, soil and air pollution, protection of natural resources, animals and plants; development of protected areas; study soil, water and energy; study the development and protection of coastal zones and marine areas; inform and educate on environment disasters facing.
