Abstract

This Federal Law implements the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 10 December 1982. The Russian Federation ratifies the Convention with the following statement: “The Russian Federation states that dispute settlement proceedings cited in the Article 30 of the Agreement regarding conservation and management of straddling fish stocks and highly migratory fish stocks is intended comprehending all the provisions of the part XV of the Convention applicable to dispute settlement. The Russian Federation declares that, taking into consideration Articles 42 and 43 of the Agreement it objects to any past or future declaration or statement in regard to signature or ratification of the Agreement or joining it that is contrary to the provisions of the Art. 43 of the Agreement.
