Abstract This law, consisting of 16 articles, aims at organizing production, manufacture, preparation, circulation, import and export of organic inputs and products. The law also applies to organic production units and certifiers. The Ministry of Environment and Water establishes standards, specifications, conditions and measures for the analysis of organic inputs and products. It regulates as well import, export, registration, labels and data of the special card for them. These informations will be included in the Regulation of this Law. The Minister shall issue a written permission for the use of input and organic products present in the lists of prohibited substances. He also has the right to prohibit, permanently or temporarily, production, manufacture, export, import, circulation of any organic input or product, either agricultural or animal. The Law provides sanctions for those who violate its provisions.
