This Federal Law enters into force on 1 January 2021.
Abstract

This Federal Law establishes that, in order to ensure the safety of life and health of the population, from January 1, 2021 the circulation of nitrous oxide on the territory of the Russian Federation shall be restricted. Production, manufacturing, purchase, delivery, storage, transportation, shipment, sending by post of nitrous oxide, as well as its trade (sale), propaganda, including by means of information and telecommunication network "Internet", use (consumption) of nitrous oxide, distribution of information about trade (sale) of nitrous oxide for purposes other than the production of foodstuffs, and not for medical, industrial or technical use, are prohibited.
