Abstract

This Federal Law is aimed at stimulating the use of peat in the energy sector in a manner similar to other renewable energy sources. In particular, regulated prices for electricity produced at generating facilities operating on the basis of peat are established and purchased by territorial grid companies to compensate for electricity losses in electric networks. In addition, it is possible to subsidize the cost of technological connection to the power grid of power plants with an installed capacity of up to 25 megawatts, using peat as fuel.
