Abstract This Law is composed of 21 articles. Articles 1 and 2 provide for the establishment of the General Institution for Agricultural Production Marketing under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fish Resources in Dubai. Article 3 defines competencis and duties of the Institution which are: (a) receiving agricultural products in the Delivery Centres established by the Institution; (b) helping sellers in the zones where there are no Marketing Centres; (c) selecting agricultural products in Marketing Centres; (d) preparing agricultural products accepted by the Marketing Centres; (e) capacity building of the operators in Marketing Centres; (f) price-fixing agricultural products; (g) helping and supporting farmers during the production accumulation; (i) helping and supporting farmers for the protection of local production; (j) cooperating with the Ministry of Agriculture and Fish resources in surplus processing field of agricultural products.
