Abstract This Federal Law establishes: (a) compulsory requirements for fruit and vegetable juices of domestic production and imported ones; (b) compulsory requirements for processing, storage, transport and trade of fruit and vegetable juices; (c) traceability; (d) certification and compliance assessment; and (e) compulsory requirements for labelling. The purpose of this Federal Law shall be prevention of fraud and deceit of consumers. Fruit and vegetable juices shall not cause harm to public health and to human life. Packaging of fruit and vegetable juices shall comply with food safety requirements and packaging materials shall comply with technical standards.
