Entry into force notes
This Federal Law enters into force 90 days after the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Federal Law sets forth legal grounds for standardization, including functioning of the national standardization system and is aimed at ensuring implementation of unified state policy in the sphere of standardization. It introduces national classifier of standards. The scope of standardization shall be to improve quality of living of the population, quality of produce and services. The purposes of standardization shall be protection of public health, consumer protection and prevention of fraud. Standards shall be voluntary and mandatory.
