In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the discharge of halocarbon into the ambient air.. Section 4 establishes that no person shall install a system that operates or is intended to operate with a halocarbon listed in any of items 1 to 9 of Schedule 1 unless authorized to do so by a permit issued under these Regulations.
