Abstract

An Act to establish the Federal Office of the Environment in Vienna, with branches in Salzburg and Klagenfurt, as part of the Federal Minister for Health and Protection of the Environment. The sphere of activity of the said Office relates, inter alia, to the monitoring of changes in the environment, the toxicological control of harmful substances to the environment, the information and advice on matters concerning the environment, the training of experts. In particular, the law provides a detailed description of the specific duties of the said Ministry and Office. The Act consists of 18 articles divided into 3 Parts.
