"Farm operations" and "normal farm practices", to which this Act applies, are defined in section 1. If normal farm practices satisfy certain requirements, farmers cannot be held liable in nuisance and must not be prevented by injunction or other court order from conducting that farm operation (sect. 2). Complaints about disturbances caused by farming operations may be made to the Farm Practices Board which will establish a panel to hear the complaint and may either dismiss it or order the farmer to cease the practice causing the disturbance (sects. 3-6).
