The Act provides additional funds for, amongst others, the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children” (WIC). Children who would normally receive free or reduced price school meals under the National School Lunch Act at the school, will receive assistance pursuant to a state agency plan approved by the Secretary of Agriculture.
