Abstract No person shall export fresh produce unless that person has obtained a license under sections 3 to 6. "Fresh produce" means any fruit, nut, vegetable, root, crop, flowers, plant or plant material declared by the Minister by Order to be fresh produce" (sect. 2). The second part of the Act concerns packing and inspection of fresh produce. On being satisfied that a produce contained in any package is fit for export the inspector appointed under the Standards Act shall issue a certificate showing that the fresh produce has passed inspection (sect. 10).
