These Rules enter into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

These Rules lay down standard specifications for the production, handling, storage, packaging, etc. of basmati rice intended for export. A certificate of conformity to standard specifications shall be issued by the Agency after having undergone inspection at the exporter’s premises.
