These Regulations enter into force on 9 May 2002.
Abstract

These Regulations implement provisions of the Explosives Act 1961 with respect to transport of Commonwealth explosives or authorized Commonwealth explosives. The Regulations aim at reducing as far as practicable the risks of personal injury, property damage and environmental harm arising from the transport of Commonwealth explosives by road or rail. They give effect to the standards, requirements and procedures of the Australian Explosives Code so far as it applies to the transport of Commonwealth explosives by road or rail and establish safeguards for ensuring the security of Commonwealth explosives that are being transported by road or rail.
