Abstract

This Act regulates the storage, use and importation of explosive substances in Vanuatu. The use of explosives of any kind for catching or destroying fish in the territorial waters of Vanuatu is prohibited (sect. 3). Applications for permission to import explosives shall specify the purpose for which such explosives are required, the names of the persons who are to use them, and the localities where they are to be used. The Minister may in his discretion, grant or refuse such permission (sect. 5).
