Executive Order on compensation for fixed costs in the area of ​​the Ministry of the Environment and Food to associations, independent institutions and foundations, etc. with primarily public funding, that are in financial crisis as a result of the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Abstract

This Order, from the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration, establishes a right to compensation as a contribution to cover fixed costs for associations, self-governing institutions and foundations, etc., in the area of ​​the Ministry of the Environment and Food, where public subsidies for operations amount to half or more of the institution's ordinary operating expenses and is ordinarily expected to do so. The institutions shall have been registered in the Central Business Register (CVR) no later than 9 March 2020, and must have an expected commercial revenue decline of at least 35 per cent or be prohibited from operating due to Covid-19. The compensation period is from 9 March 2020 to 8 July 2020. Institutions that are prohibited from operating may, however, separately request compensation for the period during which the institution is prohibited from staying open. The Executive Order contains the following Chapter: 1. Scope of the Executive Order; 2. Definitions; 3. Eligible costs; 4. Conditions for receiving compensation; 5. Post-adjustment and repayment of compensation; and 6. Complaint and entry into force.
