This Executive Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Executive Decree, consisting of 21 articles divided into six Chapters, establishes the rules for the entry, stay and departure of fishing observers on industrial and semi-industrial fishing vessels certified or licensed for fishing activities in waters under Angolan jurisdiction. Duties of the fisheries observers are as set out in art. 225 of Law 6-A/04 of 8 October as follows: embark on any industrial and semi-industrial fishing vessel that has been previously notified for the purpose of carrying out duties for which they have been assigned; monitoring the capture, processing of aquatic biological resources; take biological samples and any data or information relating to fishing activities; record all data collected and any occurrences that they deem relevant; have access, where necessary, to documents they deem relevant, navigation and communication tools; to recommend to the master of the fishing vessel that measures be taken to prevent offenses being committed.
