Abstract This Executive Decree, consisting of 17 articles, establishes the prohibition of hunting activity and logging within the country of all protected species of wild fauna and flora, in order to control poaching and trafficking in trophies and valuable objects. These activities in recent years have taken on high levels endangering biodiversity, in accordance with the Convention on the International Trade in Wild Fauna and Flora species threatened with extinction (CITES).
