Abstract This Executive Decree approves the Regulation of the Maritime and Port Institution of Angola (IMPA). The Regulation, consisting of 3 Chapter, regulates any activity performed by the above mentioned Maritime and Port Institution, aiming at supporting in defining the policy and strategy for the development of any maritime and port activity in the country; carry out technical controls; guarantee the implementation of the enforced legislation; register the allowed equipment to be used; study and propose the policy on maritime and port sectors, establishing the principles to be satisfied and the development of general plan of action and environmental protection; promote the development of any activity related to these sectors within the territory under Angolan jurisdiction.
