This Executive Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.

Abstract

This Executive Decree approves the Technical Regulation of Production and Certification of Vegetable Seed Species. The Regulation, consisting of 12 articles divided into three Chapters and completed by three Annexes, establishes Technical Regulation for the Production and Certification of Vegetable Seeds, which applies to the production and certification of this seed for commercialization, regulating the object, scope and conditions to be satisfied by the crops. This Regulation shall apply to the production and certification of seed of plants to be authorized for the marketing of varieties of the following genera and species: a) Pumpkin - Curcubita maximum Duch; b) Pumpkin - Marrows - Curcubita pepo L.; c) Watercress - Nastrum officinalis R.Br .; d) Lettuce - Latuca sativa L .; e) Leek -Allium porrum L.; f) Eggplant - Solanum melongena L; g) Broccoli - Brassica oleracea L. convai: botiys h) Alef var.cymosa Duch; H) Onion - Allium cepa L; i) Carrot -Daucus carola L; j) Coriander - Coriancko sativum; k) Brussels sprouts - Brassica olerácea L.convar, botrytis var. gemmifera DC; l) Chinese cabbages - Brassica pekinensis (Lour) Rupr; m) Portuguese cabbage - Brassica oleracea L-var.
