Abstract This Executive Decree approves the Technical Regulation of Production and Certification of Potato Seeds. The Regulation, consisting of 11 articles divided into two Chapters and completed by two Annexes, establishes Technical Regulation for the Production and Certification of Potato Seeds, which applies to the production and certification of this seed for commercialization, regulating the object, scope and conditions to be satisfied by the crops. This Regulation shall apply to the production and collection of potato seed to be authorized for the marketing of varieties of the following genera and species: a) Potato - Solanum Tuberosum L; b) Indigenous Potato - Solanum Tuberosum L. Subsp. - Andigena (Juz. & Bukasov) Hawkes and other species of Solanum Sect Tuberanium (Dunal) Bitter.
