Abstract This Executive Decree approves the Regulation of the Cabinet for the Management of Agricultural Lands within the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. This Regulation, consisting of 10 articles divided into three Chapters and two Annexes, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Food Safety Cabinet with the following competencies: a) Design, elaborate and monitor the execution of agricultural and livestock projects and plans; b) Provide technical assistance, experimentation and extension; e) Draw-up and implement, at local level, action programmes in the field of agricultural and livestock production; d) Establish mechanisms that allow the systematic control of basic meteorological data, at ground level; e) Establish an exchange in the agricultural and livestock sector with the National Directorate of Agriculture, National Directorate of Livestock and the Cabinet of Management of Agricultural Lands, as well as national and international research institutes; g) Execute contracts for the concession of lands for agrarian exploitation; h) Carry out territorial planning, cadastre and agricultural licensing; etc. Full text Portuguese Website www.legis-palop.org References - Legislation Implements Presidential Decree No. 15/18 approving the Statute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MINAGRIF).
