Abstract This Executive Decree approves the Regulation of the National Direction for Water Resources (DNRH). This Regulation, consisting of 5 Chapters and 2 Annexes, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution, which is an executive service of the Ministry of Energy and Waters. It is entitled to: promote and coordinate the general classification of water resources in a permanent way in quality and quantity, guaranteeing the integrated planning and management of water resources and the construction of water works; to promote and coordinate the designing of the National Plan of water resources; to promote and coordinate the designing of general plans for water resources exploitation, including superficial and underground waters; to license, according to enforced legislation, and to establish the baselines for designing integrated water resources use plans and hydrographical basin; etc. Full text Portuguese Website www.legis-palop.org
