Abstract This Executive Decree establishes organization and functioning of the Cabinet of Environment and Safety (GAS) within the Ministry of Oil, according to Presidential Decree No. 33/11 (repealed by Presidential Decree No. 239/12). The Regulation, consisting of 4 Chapters and 2 Annexes, specifies composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution, entitled: to guarantee the implementation of National policies and strategies related to environment and safety; to promote and collaborate on needed studies on the procedures related to environmental safety and management and improved modern technology; to coordinate and collaborate in designing norms, regulations and specific techniques related to safety and environment during any oil and biofuel activity; to give advices on the management plans on safety and environment, etc. Annexes list composition and duties of the above mentioned Cabinet.
