Abstract This Executive Decree approves the Internal Regulation of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Energy and Water (SG). The Regulation, consisting of 16 articles divided into four Chapters and two Annexes, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the SG, technical support service of the Ministry of a transversal nature that deals with the registration, monitoring and treatment of administrative, financial and logistical issues common to all other services of the Ministerial Department, namely budget, property and public relations. In particular, according to article 9 of Presidential Decree No. 223/20 of 28 August, the General Secretariat is responsible for: a) collaborate with the Office of Studies, Planning and Statistics in the preparation of the draft budget of the Ministry of Energy and Water; b) prepare the budget execution report of the Ministry of Energy and Water; c) perform accounting, financial and property tasks; d) propose measures for better management of the Ministry's assets; e) perform functions of common utility to the various bodies and services of the Ministry; f) introduce a control system simultaneously with the execution of budget management; g) carry out the conception and elaboration of accounting plan adjusted to the particularities of the Ministry, etc. Full text Portuguese Website www.legis-palop.org References - Legislation Implements Presidential Decree No. 223/20 approving the Statute of the Ministry of Energy and Water (MINEA).
