Abstract

These Regulations restrict the importation of pigs from certain regions of Italy. The purpose is to prevent the importation of Swine vesicular disease present in regions mentioned in Commission Decision No. 2007/9/EC. A person may not import a pig from the affected regions or posses a pig imported in contravention to these Regulations. The Regulations also define powers of authorized officers.
