Abstract

These Regulations implement Commission Decision 2000/418/EC and govern the rules for the removal, isolation and disposal of specified risk material as defined in article 2 for the purposes of the control of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy. They regulate the removal of specified risk material from carcases and its treatment and handling so as to reduce risks of BSE.
