The rules concern classification of meat according to the age of the slaughtered animal, the power of authorized officers to issue a compliance notice in respect of meat that does not meet requirements as set out in Council Regulation (EC) 700/2007 or may cause danger to public or animal health, compliance with or appeal against a compliance notice, and other powers of authorized officers in relation with enforcement and offences committed under these Regulations.
